Our seawater comes from a natural vortex off the coast of northern France, a monitored area free from marine pollution. Extraction involves a two-stage treatment process that preserves the phytoplankton while eliminating any plastic particles.

1. We pump the seawater (marine plasma) and transport it immediately to a production center. Once filtered, a sample is sent directly to two separate laboratories for analysis. Quality control is then applied. Batches containing even a few units of any of the contaminants are immediately rejected and scrapped. 2. During the bottling process, seawater is diluted with ORIGEN hyper-purified water to create the most complete ORGANIC electrolyte available on the market.
Thanks to its natural ionic form Minerals present in seawater exist in their ionic form, meaning they are dissolved and readily available for cellular absorption. Many standard mineral supplements come in inorganic or chelated forms, which require digestion and conversion before absorption. Balanced mineral ratios Seawater contains a natural balance of minerals similar to that of the body's extracellular fluids (such as blood plasma). This balance helps the body recognize and utilize minerals more effectively than isolated or synthetic supplements. Trace elements and cofactors Seawater contains over 70 trace elements that work synergistically to enhance absorption. Many standard mineral supplements contain only a few isolated minerals, which may not be as effective without supporting trace elements. Colloidal and organic associations Our ORIGEN seawater minerals are bound to organic compounds and substances derived from plankton, enhancing their bioavailability. In contrast, synthetic minerals found in nutritional supplements may lack these natural cofactors, making them more difficult to absorb. Synergy of pH and electrolytes Seawater minerals help maintain a proper balance of pH and electrolyte levels in the body, thus improving mineral absorption. Synthetic minerals (those found in bottled water, dietary supplements, pharmaceutical preparations and fortified foods) are designed to mimic natural minerals and are poorly absorbed if they don't match the pH of the body's environment. No artificial additives or coagulants Many standard dietary supplements contain fillers, coagulants and preservatives that can hinder absorption. Seawater minerals, as harvested (for example, through ocean plasma extracts such as those found in ORIGEN seawater electrolytes), do not contain these artificial additives or supplements. For example: magnesium in seawater versus magnesium oxide The magnesium in seawater is in ionic form and highly absorbable. Magnesium oxide (a common supplement form) has very low absorption (around 4%), as it requires gastric acid to convert it to a bioavailable form.
Filtering microplastics and heavy metals from seawater is an essential part of our process. To achieve this, we use a 2-stage treatment process: 1. Microplastics are removed by bioremediation with microplastic-eating bacteria such as Ideonella sakaiensis and enzymes that break down plastics into non-toxic components, eliminating a significant percentage of microplastics. 2. We then carry out triple cold microfiltration to remove any remaining microplastics, ensuring a natural, healthy product.
